Meet Our Providers

Molly was born in Charleston, West Virginia, and graduated from Capital High School. She met her husband while attending Marshall University for her BSN, which she completed in 2010. Molly has spent 10 years on the Mother/Baby Unit at Women and Children’s Hospital where she fell in love with obstetrics and women’s health. In 2013, she went back to school to become a Family Nurse Practitioner, finishing her MSN in 2015 from Ohio University. She joined the team at Dr. Patton’s office in 2017.

Katie Boggs was born and raised in Pinch, WV. She graduated in 2004 with her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from West Virginia University. After working as a travel nurse for several years in cardiology, labor, and delivery, and GYN oncology, she went on to pursue and obtain her Master of Science degree in nursing in 2011 from Mountain State University. Katie has been in practice at David J. Patton MD, Inc since 2015. She is the primary provider and manages Dr. Patton’s Beckley location. She specializes in women’s health, as well as a comprehensive approach to longevity and anti-aging medical treatments.

She is passionate about women’s health and believes it is a calling for her. She cares deeply for her patients. She feels she has been given the opportunity to advocate for women, making sure their care is a top priority throughout their lifespan. She feels the greatest impact can be had in preventative healthcare services, including but not limited to lifestyle modification and hormone optimization. She most recently achieved board certification through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. She also focuses on infertility, PCOS and providing exceptional prenatal care. Katie, her husband Chase and two sons reside in Daniels, WV.  In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. You can usually find her on a baseball field somewhere! Her 2 active boys keep her very busy, and she loves every minute of it!

Megan was born in Charleston, WV and graduated from Winfield High School. She met her husband, Dylan, while attending college at Marshall University for her BSN degree which was completed in 2011. After nursing school, Megan went on to become an ICU nurse for 6 years before completing her FNP degree in 2020. Megan joined Dr. Pattons team in 2020.

Megan is a mother of two, Madden and Delaney. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family and going on “adventures” with them. Through her own pregnancies, Megan learned that she had a passion for women health and obstetric care. This passion has evolved during her experience as a Nurse Practitioner at Dr. Patton’s office. Megan feels very strongly about educating women and new mothers during pregnancy and beyond to better prepare them for their new experiences.

Allison Shekhawat is a family nurse practitioner from Morgantown, WV. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2015 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at West Virginia University. Allison began her nursing career working as a certified Critical Care Registered Nurse in a cardiovascular intensive care unit. She then graduated with her Master of Science degree from WVU in 2019 and became a certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Over the last 4 years as an FNP, she has practiced in Primary Care/Family Medicine, and Women’s Health.

Since relocating to Charleston, Allison has greatly enjoyed serving Dr. Patton’s patients. She strives to provide personalized, quality care to her patients in all aspects of Women’s Health, including OB, GYN, Fertility, and Aesthetics.  Outside of patient care, she enjoys her family, including her husband and German Shepherd dog. Allison is a proud US Air Force military spouse.

Tara Robinson is a West Virginia native with over 19 years of PA experience. She attended Alderson Broaddus College where she graduated Cum Laude in 2003 earning an Associate of Science with a Major in Natural Science, a minor in Abnormal Psych, and a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Health Science. In 2004 Tara earned a Master of Science with a major in Physician Assistant Studies and passed the NCCPA certification exam. In October of 2022 she was recognized as a Health Practitioner Diplomate in the clinical science of Anti-Aging by the American Board of Anti-Aging after completing the A4M Fellowship earning the FAAMM and ABAAHP title.

Tara brings over 15 years of Women’s Health experience and 10 years of aesthetic experience to the practice. She enjoys caring for pregnant patients and helping patients optimize their hormones for fertility, PCOS, menopause, strength, and weight loss. In her spare time, she enjoys training and competing in bikini bodybuilding, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Heather was born and raised in WV and received her bachelor’s degree in radiologic imaging at the University of Charleston. Heather has spent the past 15 years working in private practice women’s healthcare in this region. Her specialties include high risk OB, fertility, ABUS (automatic breast Ultrasound), and gynecologic imaging.

She has worked closely with Maternal Fetal Medicine doctors and attended several imaging conferences over the years.  Since joining our team in 2015, Heather has said her favorite part of doing ultrasound at our office is the personal relationships that are built with patients.

Chelsea is a WV native – born and raised in Southern WV. She graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science. Upon graduation, she started her ultrasound career and quickly found her passion for women’s health when she began working for Dr. Patton in 2017.

Mandy is from Beckley, West Virginia.  In 2008, she graduated from Mountain State University with an associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.  She received a Regents Bachelor of Arts degree from Concord University in 2017.

She joined Dr. Patton’s team in 2013 and has over 15 years’ experience as a Sonographer. Mandy specializes in MFM and High-Risk Obstetrics. She enjoys spending time with her daughter.

Mandy was born and raised in West Virginia. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Mountain State University.

She joined Dr. Patton’s office in 2016. Mandy has over 20 years of experience in Ob/Gyn ultrasound and 5 years’ experience in High-Risk OB ultrasound with Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist designation.

Amber was born and raised right here in West Virginia.  She attended Mountain State University and received an associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

She has been an OB/GYN sonographer since 2007. Amber truly loves the relationship she develops with our patients and hopes that she makes a positive difference in each and every one. Amber became part of the team in June 2018.

Mallory is a registered diagnostic medical sonographer, specializing in OB/GYN.

She was born and raised in WV and attended St. Mary’s School of Medical Imaging through Marshall University, graduating in May 2020. Upon graduation, she set for her boards and became credentialed in OBIGYN ultrasound.

After discovering her passion for women’s and fetal healthcare while still in school, she was hired as a sonographer at Dr. Patton’s office in May 2020.

Mikayla was raised in Hurricane, West Virginia. She became interested in sonography as a young girl while going to her mother’s OB ultrasound appointments.

She pursued her passion for ultrasound at BridgeValley Community and Technical College and graduated in 2020 with an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.  Mikayla began her career in the Valley and joined our team in June of 2022.

Brooke was born and raised in the eastern panhandle. She moved to Charleston in 2022 to be closer to husband’s family and to raise our babies. Brooke graduated from an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program at West Virginia University Hospital in 2013.

She has a Bachelor’s of Arts degree and is credentialed in abdomen, ob/gyn, vascular, and fetal echo.  Brooke has over 10 years’ experience in women’s health and 3 years of experience with high risk OBGYN. Brooke joined Dr. Patton’s office in March of 2022.
